My name is Bert Vlot, 3rd generation of a butcher family from the Alblasserwaard, Netherlands.

After having completed the education to become a butcher, I have continued my parents’ business from 1997 till 2017. I, however had a dream to emigrate to the Dordogne with my family and to exercise my profession in a different culture and part of Europe.

My preferred cow breed has always been the Limousine. The structure of the meat and its unique taste are in my opinion very hard to surpass. I now have the chance to process the meat of this particular breed of our own home bred cows.

Because of the fact that there is a lot more space, the animals can really develop themselves in all freedom. Respect for nature and animal welfare are of paramount importance, and are also translated into a high-quality end product.

Mon nom est Bert Vlot, troisième generation d’un famille des bouchers de l’Alblasserwaard, Pays Bas.

Après avoir fini la formation du boucher, j’ai continué l’entreprise de mes parents jusqu’à 2017. Cependant, je rêvais d’émigrer avec ma famille et d’exercer ma profession dans une culture differente et un autre part de l’Europe.

Ma préférence des race de vaches est toujours sorti à la limousine. La structure de la viande et le goût unique sont dans ma opinion presque imbattable. Ici en France, j’ai eu l’opportunité de transformer moi-même cette viande de cette race de nos vaches de race.

Grâce à les grandes espaces, les animaux peuvent se developper en toute liberté. Respect pour la nature et le bien-être des animaux sont d’une importance primordiale, et sont également traduits en un produit final de haute qualité.

Mijn naam is Bert Vlot, derde generatie van een slagersfamilie uit de Alblasserwaard, Nederland.

Na afronding van de slagersvakopleiding heb ik het bedrijf van mijn ouders voortgezet tot 2017. Ik had echter een droom om met mijn gezin naar de Dordogne te emigreren en hier mijn vak uit te oefenen.

Mijn voorkeur qua koeienras is altijd uitgegaan naar de Limousine. De structuur van het vlees en haar eigen smaak zijn mijn inziens haast niet te overtreffen. Ik heb hier de kans om dit vlees van dit ras van onze zelfgefokte koeien geheel zelf te verwerken.

Doordat er hier veel meer ruimte beschikbaar is kunnen de dieren zich in alle vrijheid ontwikkelen. Respect voor de natuur en dierwelzijn staan bij ons hoog in het vaandel, en zien zich ook vertaald in een kwalitatief hoogstaand eindproduct.
